Zynq-7000

Just saw that Xilinx has announced the Zynq-7000 family – chips that
combine a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor and peripherals with
programmable logic cells (i.e., FPGA fabric). Seems like this could
make a pretty good base for an embedded gnuradio platform. Anyone
looked at this yet?

Yes, this is an exciting product. Xilinx announced this last April
during an Embedded Conference. They are slowly releasing technical
details, but what I haven’t seen in the announcements is a solid time
frame for getting silicon and dev boards :frowning:

I was speaking to my local Xilinx FAE in Australia today, he seems to
think
actual parts are something like 18 months out.
