Wrong installation partition

Hi,

I’m absolutely new at the happy world of Ruby.
During the installation I requested to change the path from the proposed
C:\ to another partition (E:) on my PC. (I have C, D, E and H).
Once installed, when I open command prompt with Ruby automatically it
points to H:. Even after a cd command it keeps at H:
Did I make a mistake during installation? Is this normal?

Thank you in advance,

Bram

Strange… what could advice is to put Ruby on default instalation
directory since it weight very low.

Hello Damian,

Thank you for your response!
As proposed, I installed Ruby directly on C:
Even now, when I open “Start Command Prompt with Ruby” immediately it
directs to H:>
Cd C:\ gives no fault, but no change either.
When trying “gem update” for exemple, I get a message that there is “Not
enough space” while even on H:\ there is still 4,64Gb of free space.
Any ideas?

Thx!!

Hi Damian,

Sorry for the slow response from time to time.
I have downloaded the Ruby version: 2.0.0p598 (2014-11-13)
[x64-mingw32].
My operative system: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
Hopefully this is the data you expected… :-/

Thx!

Could be nice if you provide us with more information. Ruby version and
exact operative system.
