Development - Java, Ruby on Rails

You will be part of a Social IT Services team where you will design
and implement support for user-facing features and data analysis
involving large amounts of data. Taking into account storage, access,
availability and security requirements, the company utilizes
algorithms and knowledge of operations hardware to develop scalable
systems. The team also helps design, monitor, debug and tune the
production infrastructure.
This is a Direct Hire, Full-Time position in Seattle, WA and offered
through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000
publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in
Redmond, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in
the US for placements and support most of the top rated IT companies
in the Pacific Northwest and across the USA.
Backend Senior Developer Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails…
5-7 years of experience in web development (Java).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is strongly
preferred.
Experience architecting web search technologies and/or content feed
management systems.
Experience managing a high-traffic site (Mem-cached, load balancing,
distributed applications).
Deep database knowledge (MySQL preferred).
Extensive Linux/Unix experience.
AJAX architecture experience.
Knowledge of Web 2.0 landscape.
Data mining experience a major plus!
Entrepreneurial experience preferred.
