Comment was made on the win32utils-devel list that an api was in the
works for Jruby.
I am looking for a “LPGL” way to run a jruby app as a windows service.
Is there a chance that this project may include “win32-service” and be
suitable for this purpose?

Thanks
Paul F.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but can’t you use wrapper.exe
for
this purpose?

It’s a service wrapper for java applications.

Tim,
wrapper.exe is licenced under GPL for the free version and commercial
use is pay per server which does not fit my intended usage.
Thanks for you interest,
Paul F.

You can grab ntservice from the contrib dir the JNA project - you’re
already using JNA with jruby.
