Will_paginate with :select

i have tryed to use:

@my_object = Myclass.paginate(:select => “id, title, position”, :page =>
params[:page]||false, :per_page => @value_per_page )

but the query exctract all the fields.
what is the right sintax to obtain only specified fileds?
