I have some incredibly important and urgent questions related to Ruby
and Rails:

  • Who is this enigmatic why the lucky stiff? (His last name is
    apparently Malsky, according to Wikipedia.)
  • How did he get that nickname?

When I asked such questions, I was told that it was part of the mystery

I don’t think _why actually exists. He’s most likely the collective
personification of the great ruby mind. The mythical being that walks
the ruby way. The chunky in our ruby bacon.

Aaahhhh… the ghost in the machine! The Ruby / Rails community has some
wacky characters, like the late Rails Blob…

The passing of the Rails Blob was truly a great blow to the ruby
community.

Yeah, we can only hope Rails Blob transferred his essense to the ether
of the Interwebs before expiring. He did blog about Raelians shortly
before, and if I recall correctly they have insights into the
afterlife…
