Why can't I easily find how to specify my usrp IP

Seriously, that should be a single google search, I can’t find it. It’s
not
in the documentation. What the hell. This is the trouble I’ve had with
quite a few things on GNU radio, no startup info is available.

There’s this:

http://files.ettus.com/manual/page_devices.html

And the generic information about “device naming”:

http://files.ettus.com/manual/page_identification.html

And there’s information about re-programming the IP address of your
devices:

http://files.ettus.com/manual/page_usrp2.html#usrp2_network_changeip

The UHD manual isn’t particularly well-hidden.

Jon,

Did you try typing “change usrp ip address” into a google search? The
first hit is USRP Hardware Driver and USRP Manual: USRP2 and N2x0 Series, which does
have
the information you are looking for.

Since the USRP isn’t specifically GNURadio, it’s generic SDR hardware,
GNURadio does not have this information; the place you needed to look
was
at Ettus R. for the documentation on the USRP.

Hope this helps,

Michael B.
