When Do We All Go Mental?

I have been lurking here for several weeks now and studying Radiant.
Gotta say that I like the app and it’s approach.

It is getting to the point where I need to add CMS to my site (largely
static business site with some additional RoR applications within). It
seems clear that the mental-extension route is the one for me.

Since I don’t NEED it this minute and would prefer a release version to
nightly builds (and frequent changes to architecture) I figured I’d wait
til v0.6 arrived.

Anybody have the foggiest idea when that will be?

BTW, I realize that anything you give me is a guess but are we talking 1
day, 10 days, or 10 months here?

One other thing too…

All the documentation refers to Mental running only on edge rails. Is
this still true or is Mental being stabilized now that Rails v1.2 has
been released?

If not, is there anything specific that makes Mental need something
newer than 1.2.1?

Thanks for the help.

Mental is running on 1.2.1, not edge.

John will have final say on all this, but I expect, being a bit
unemployed, to work on a few things related to improving the
extension system this week. Just wanted to say it publicly, so I’d
have a little more pressure on myself to get it done. (ie View path
issues, code cleanup, testing support, for those interested).

I’m pushing for sometime in the next 1-2 weeks.

For anyone that missed it: Adam is an incredible Ruby on Rails developer
and he’s presently looking for contract work. If you have a project you
think he might be interested in now is the time to drop him a line.

That doesn’t mean that we don’t appreciate his work on Radiant in his
spare time.

Mental is running on 1.2.1, not edge.

FYI This change happened just in the past week. Previously, we were
running on 1.2 prerelease (essentially Edge).
