Web-based retail Point Of Sale

Hi,
I am going to make web-based retail point of sale in rails.
But I don’t know from where i should start my application.
Can anybody suggest me any site or any documentation from which I can
get
idea to make my application.

You have given no indication of your current experience with rails.
Assuming you know nothing then start with the Rails Guides.

I have a good experience with rails. e.g. I have made up certain
applications like online shopping,mailing system.
Now i wanted to extend my experience by doing POS application.
I want the kind support of RubyOnRails team.
