WBX usage

Hi all,
in order to use the new WBX daughterboards, do I have to get the new
libusrp2 from git ?

I was going to make a more formal announcement, but here it goes:

I pushed WBX support to the UHD master just now. Instructions here:
http://ettus-apps.sourcerepo.com/redmine/ettus/projects/uhd/wiki

For those of you using the gnuradio gr-uhd component, i recommend
rebuilding gr-uhd after building/installing the latest libuhd.

To actually answer your question, if you dont want to experiment with
the uhd drivers. You will need to checkout the git master to get the
latest libusrp2. and you will need to build and flash your sd card with
the txrx_wbx.bin firmware.

I’m planning to buy a WBX this week - how about the support for USRP1 (I
have one w/ serial number> 500), is it in the gnuradio current git? How
about the next gnuradio release w/ the wbx support?

WBX support for the USRP1 can be found in the current gnuradio git
master.

Other thing - will the in-tree gnuradio examples work out-of-box with the
WBX daughterboard?

The txrx_wbx.bin file works with WBX and basic rx/tx or lfrx/lftx. The
XCVR firmware was also separated into its own txrx_xcvr.bin and basic/lf
support.

If you would like to have support for all daughterboards with one SD
card image, the UHD is moving rapidly in that direction. WBX support
has just been added to the git master for UHD, so it now supports basic,
lf, XCVR2450, all RFX boards and WBX.
