vlad version 2.2.1 has been released!
Vlad the Deployer is pragmatic application deployment automation,
without mercy. Much like Capistrano, but with 1/10th the
complexity. Vlad integrates seamlessly with Rake, and uses familiar
and standard tools like ssh and rsync.
Impale your application on the heartless spike of the Deployer.
Changes:
2.2.1 / 2011-06-22
-
1 bug fix:
- Switched rake dependency to ~> 0.8 so we don’t collide with other
libs

Hi, in this page:
Ruby Hit Squad - Programacion, marketing y mucho ruby on rails
most of the link in the right column, in “Doco!!” section, are wrong
(404).

Also, the screencast (Ruby Hit Squad - Programacion, marketing y mucho ruby on rails) is not
visible under Linux (Ubuntu) => “Missing plugin”. This is because it
uses QuickTime which is not available for browsers under Linux.

After inspecting the JS code I was able to download the video from
Ruby Hit Squad - Programacion, marketing y mucho ruby on rails.

umm… i don’t know what browser you are using, but using chromium on
archlinux it works just fine. (had to install flash manually for
chromium,
but ott no probs)
you are right about the links, from ‘getting started’ to ‘vlad
variables’,
none of the links work.

Other than the fact Linux has a cool name, could someone explain why I
should use Linux over BSD?
No. That’s it. The cool name, that is. We worked very hard on
creating a name that would appeal to the majority of people, and it
certainly paid off: thousands of people are using linux just to be able
to say “OS/2? Hah. I’ve got Linux. What a cool name”. 386BSD made the
mistake of putting a lot of numbers and weird abbreviations into the
name, and is scaring away a lot of people just because it sounds too
technical.

I just added a direct link to that to make it easier. Thanks for
reporting these issues!
