Hi all
The most recent release of the Ruby-Gnome2 bindings was 0.19. I’d like
to suggest that the developers/release managers consider calling the
next release version 1.0.
Of course we all know that the version number really doesn’t mean
anything but on the other hand the Ruby-Gnome2 bindings already work
well and are being used by many people. They are well beyond the ‘alpha
quality’ that such a low version number might suggest.
Just a suggestion.

I agree that the quality of rubygnome bindings is good enough. It is
stable enough too, imho, for around 95% of my needs.
What I would however suggest is to try to keep up with gnome more - if
gnome releases version (lets say) 3.0, then ruby-gnome should try to
keep up and release a 3.0 version. (or 3.0 alpha, 3.0 beta… before 3.0
will be ready. I guess it will always be with a delay)
