USRP2 kit is not detected by desktop's ethernet port at all

Hi,

We installed the latest UHD-003.005.003 with gnuradio-3.6.4.1 on a
32-bit
PC running Ubuntu 11.04, but the USRP2 kit is just not getting detected
(the green LED near the ethernet port of the USRP2 kit does not glow).

We even tried gnuradio-3.6.0 and UHD-003.005.002 yet there is no change
at
all.

We are using a Gigabit ethernet cable, but we are not sure if the
desktop’s
ethernet interface supports gigabit transmission.

Meanwhile, on a macbook pro (running Mac OS X Lion with neither Gnuradio
nor the UHD installed), the USRP2’s ethernet port green LED was glowing.

Thanks,

swrangsar

Swrangsar,

For checking desktop’s ethernet interface speed u can use ethtool

sudo apt-get install ethtool
ethtool eth0

So I guess you have a PC problem, not a USRP problem.

Ralph.
