USRP daughter-boards for 2.3-2.4, 2.5-2.7, 3.4-3.6 GHz

Hi all,

I need to receive in the following bands - 2.3-2.4, 2.5-2.7, 3.4-3.6
GHz for WiMAX signal detection.

I see there is RFX2400, which covers two first ones (2.3-2.4, 2.5-2.7
GHz), but I can’t find any daughter-boards for 3GHz band. Is there
possibly any 3rd party ones?

Hi Alexander,
The Bitshark USRP RX (BURX) daughterboard from our company (Epiq
Solutions) would work well for you. It covers from 300 MHz up to 4
GHz. Support for this board was merged into the GNU Radio master
branch with the 3.3.1 release. You can find details on this
daughterboard at our website:

We have customers who are using it for WiMAX signal processing, so it
should be a good match for your needs.

John, Michael, thank you. I’ll take a look.

John,

Does BURX work with UHD and USRP E100?

Alexander,
The BURX board doesn’t currently have driver support for the UHD (and
thus, from what I understand, can’t be used with the E100 either).
From a technical standpoint, we’ve been monitoring progress/changes
with the UHD, and it seems reasonably stable at this point. We can
revisit adding support in for the BURX board if there was interest in
this, and prioritize it accordingly.
