Using Ruby on Rails to edit a script?

Is ROR a good fit if I want to edit and expand on a developed script
like RoundCube( http://roundcube.net/ )? I’m planing to edit it for my
business as an order/transcript application.

If anyone is interested this link is what I want to make.

RoundCube is written in PHP, not Ruby. You could certainly write
something equivalent in Ruby, but if you want to extend RoundCube
itself, you’ll have to use PHP.

Thanks, I think I’ll stay with php and have a few modifications made,
then get a price on having it written in ROR.

Don’t waste time on the PHP modifications until you’re sure you’re not
going to switch.

Well, there may already be something similar available in Rails --I’m
not certain, but someone else here might know.
