Using edge in production?

Does anybody use Rails edge in production? Or is that just extremely
foolhardy?

Joe

I do, for http://junior.tesly.com, but that’s not necessarily a
business-critical app.

I saw Rick O. aka Technoweenie say that he thought it was ok. The
Mephisto blog software only runs on edge rails…

I think edge is fine for production and I am building and will

launch the engineyard control panel on edge. That being said I
usual;ly like to find a version of edge that works for me and then
leave it frozen into vendor until I absolutely need a new feature
from a newer version. If a revision works then just leaving it in
vendor is the way to go until you needs to upgrade fro more features.

Yes, although I don’t upgrade to the latest revision at random. I’ll
usually
develop with an edge revision for a few days before allowing it to go
into
production.
