Upgrading from 3.0.7 to 3.1 later on. A bit worried

So I’ve been working hard at revising and updating my older Rails 2.x
sites to 3.0.7 and things are working out well. I cleaned and optimized
my sites considerably. However, I’ve started to look over some of the
changes for Rails 3.1 and they look vastly different, especially with
sass and coffee script. I also noticed that the views and layout
placements have changed as well.

While I like some of the changes, I think upgrading later on is going to
be rather daunting since my sites are heavily using JS, CSS, mobile
formats, and different mailer formats. I see a lot of work ahead if I
decide to convert from 3.0.7 to 3.1. Am I just over reacting to the
changes, or will it be a difficult move later on?

Just curious what other people think.
