Unsubscribe Doesn't seem to work

Hello all,

I’m having trouble getting the UNSUBSCRIBE message to work.

I’ve sent several emails with only the word UNSCUBSCRIBE in the body.
But, it doesn’t seem to work.

I want to wait until I have a little more experience before I
re-subscribe

Any ideas?

Thanks
Ed B

  1. What address did you send the E-mail to?

  2. Did you get a response back by E-mail? If so, what was the content of
    the response?

  3. What list or forum are you trying to unsubscribe from? This one is
    visible via multiple gateways

  4. If it was the ruby-talk mailing list, did you try
    Mailing Lists ?

(By the way, the link to “the manual way” at the bottom of that page is
broken. I believe it should link to
http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/community/mailing-lists/manual-instructions/

  • is there anyone here who can fix this?)

Regards,

Brian.

I could be wrong in this case, but when I have ever unsubscribed to
various mailing lists or other services, the word at the least,
needs to be in the message TITLE, as well as / or in the BODY.

If your e-mail client can use HTML, clicking here
mailto:[email protected]?body=unsubscribe should generate
the e-mail you need to unsubscribe.

Otherwise, you need to send an e-mail to:

[email protected]
with unsubscribe in the body.
