Undefined method `name' for "RedCloth":String

#1

Hi,

I have a local install under OSX and a server install under centos.
versions seem to be the same across both environments but on the server
im getting:

rake production radiant:extensions:paperclipped_uploader:migrate
rake/rdoctask is deprecated. Use rdoc/task instead (in RDoc 2.4.2+)
rake aborted!
undefined method `name’ for “RedCloth”:String

Tasks: TOP => environment
(See full trace by running task with --trace)

I’ve attached the full trace and versions for both environments, let me
know if you need anything else.

I hope someone can help with this. I’ve been pulling my hair out for
days over it.

Many thanks

DP

DP-- Sorry not to offer any help, but I’m having the same issue (except
no centos involved: i’ve just installed rails 2.3.8, rubygems). happens
to me when I’m trying to ruby script/server, and when i try any rake
tasks… i’m sure more places too.

please let me know if you find any solutions!

update: found the solution! it’s an incompatibility between rubygems and
rails. see
