On Sybase DBs, the timestamp column cannot be updated with a query,
the server does it automatically(http://www.sybase.com/detail?
id=20316). Since ActiveRecord writes all attributes back to the
database on every call to #save, the transaction error. To get by I
edited the default sybase_adapter to not include timestamp types when
it returns the column listing, thus eliminating that attribute all
together. But now if I want to read that attribute, I’m out of luck.
Has anyone else run across this issue? Is there some way I can fix the
problem without modifying the sybase_adapter?
