The average Ruby ML Contributor

Hmm this did not pass uncompressed, maybe it is ok compressed…

Hi

I was trying to upload a PDF report summarizing language backgrounds
and locations of the ML Contributors, that report has a size of 26k.

In pure text form this data is quite unreadable.

Would there be a possibility to let this pass?

I’d appreciate.

Thx in advance

What’s that? You’re collecting all of our information?

Would you like my blood type as well?

There is an ongoing thread on the ruby-talk mailing list (subject
line “Taking the bull by its horns”) where people are volunteering
all sorts of information about themselves, and Robert’s report is
presumably based on that. If you contributed to that thread, then
yes, he has “collected” that information – as have the numerous web
sites and search engines that mirror the contents of this mailing list.

You mean - no image map on a spinning globe (or in Google Earth) with
little push pins illustrating out geo-location?

No USA-Today style charts showing language experience?

No standard deviations graphs for ages?

Sheez!!

And furthermore there are no names, no addresses nothing which
identifies a person, only average age, locations and computer
languages.
Please have a look at the report yourself.

Sorry if I scared you, I had used a disclaimer explaining this before,
it got somehow lost in this final post.

Cheers
Robert

P.S.
concerning the blood, no, not for me thanks, but donate once in a
while anyway can save lives
