Terminating php fastcgi processes

offtopic: its more about php than nginx:

there is any similar to apache_child_terminate for fastcgi php´s?

My last resort of exec(’/usr/bin/kill '.getmypid()) plainly doesnt
worked, the output is broken (nginx spit out a ‘bad gateway’) but the
process is still there. stock fastcgi php support any of that?

Look into php-fpm. It’s pretty much what everyone suggests.

There are a few directives you can pass to PHP when starting is with
-b… what exactly does apache_child_terminate do? There may be a php
equiv.
