Someone need to update the latest stable CentOS (Possibly RedHat) NginX files

Hello,

Following instructions on nginx: download, I tried to
install NginX on CentOS 6 and it failed. See the three approaches I used
below.

First Try

Did you try:

rpm -vvv --rebuilddb

yum clean all

yum localinstall --nogpgcheck

http://nginx.org/packages/centos/6/noarch/RPMS/nginx-release-centos-6-0.el6.ngx.noarch.rpm

yum -y install nginx

Quick Q:

Epel and CentOS repo still refers to 0.84. Is this under the community
influence to upgrade to 1+?

Repository is ok, but yours CentOS have nonstandard and bit paranoid
setup. I do not even know how to
force signature cheking with rpm, it is optional on CentOS/RHEL and
produce only warning.
Try to install with
rpm -Uvh --nodigest --nosignature
http://nginx.org/packages/centos/6/noarch/RPMS/nginx-release-centos-6-0.el6.ngx.noarch.rpm
then run
rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-nginx
then
yum install nginx
