Position Description
A software company is looking for an experienced software engineer
with significant software development experience in Ruby on Rails and
ExtJS as well as other Open Source technologies and Agile development
methodologies.
What you’ll do:
Build on the core of a web based enterprise application, enabling our
growing customer base of large enterprises to improve their capital
investment performance
Work with the latest open-source technologies - applied to serious
business problems with multi-million dollar impact
Demonstrate to the world that Rails is enterprise ready - not just for
social networks

Required Skills:
Back End:
2+ years of experience developing in Ruby on Rails
Experience with MySQL and MongoDB
Experience in the design and development of true multi-tenant Software-
as-a-Service offerings
Solid understanding of the principles and practice of Web Services,
SOAs and Model-View-Controllers
Demonstrate effective application of service-based, object-based and
component-based modeling
Good understanding of key Internet technologies and protocols such as
TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SMTP, etc.
Front End:
1+ years of experience developing in ExtJS
Good experience in building extensions, plugins and themes for ExtJS
framework
2+ years experience in modern unobtrusive and object oriented
JavaScript especially its use with ExtJS framework
Experienced with JavaScript UI Frameworks and building UI components
Strong knowledge of Ajax implementation, DOM scripting and event
handling
Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code
solutions
General:
5+ years of software development experience for an ISV
English fluency and strong verbal communication skills
Significant knowledge and experience with Scrum/Agile and BDD
