The RubyPhone project hosted on RubyForge
(http://rubyforge.org/projects/tsapi/) has been updated. This project
ports the TSAPI (Telephony Services API) library to Ruby so you can
create CTI applications using the power, fun, and flexibility of Ruby.
In the Files section of the project you will see there now is a CSTA
Simulator program. This Linux source archive allows you to simulate
what a PBX would be driving through your RubyPhone application. Perfect
for testing out your code if you don’t have a PBX to hook into.
With the introduction of TAPI and VoIP the TSAPI library might not be
what everyone is looking for in terms of CTI implementations. But for
those of you looking for a low cost solution that works with older PBX
systems it makes things quick and easy. Feel free to check it out!
