Ruby on Rails


I get alot of job postings from client such as this one in PA:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related 

field is required

  •   Ability to self-organize and work effectively within a small 

with minimal supervision

  •    5+ years Web UI experience**
  •    Experience developing secure transactional software products
  •   Expert level HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are required with

demonstrated ability to solve complex problem

  •   Experience in delivering sites leveraging responsive design,

multiple user agents, and addressing cross browser support

  •   Experience in consuming RESTful services and building atop a 

Enterprise solution

  •   Strong skills JSON, XML, XSLT, XML schema, shared XML schema 

XML type inheritance, and XML namespaces

  •   Experience addressing edge caching concerns of high volume, 

web sites

  •   Strong verbal and written communication skills are required due 

dynamic nature of team discussions

  •   Knowledge of QA automation processes and tools such as Selenium
  •   Experience building high performance, high availability 

processing applications is preferred

  •   Familiarity with Subversion, Eclipse and the Atlassian suite of

products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Fish-eye) is preferred

  •   Familiarity with on-line commerce applications a plus
  •   Familiarity with Agile/Scrum is strongly preferred
  •   Knowledge of HTML, Python, PHP or Ruby/Rails is a plus
  •   BSCS or BSEE or Other Related Technical Degree or equivalent


Basically, where can I find people who would be interested in contract
who know Ruby on Rails ?

Perhaps you should try a Java newsgroup as this is a pure Java vacancy,
Rails only appears as a plus on the second to last bullet point.
