Ruby on android?

Hi rubyists,

Is there some porting effort going on to port ruby to android? I am
trying to cross compile ruby statically with codesourcery GNU tool
chain. So far I haven’t been successful (I am getting a lot of build
errors related to OpenSSL , I need to patch and fix the source). I am
thinking I might be of better help if anyone’s already doing it.

(You might also want to try to get JRuby on
Android, as I’d assume it should be easier.)
