I just noticed that attachments made to posts on ruby-forum.com don’t
get send by mail anymore. Some time ago, there was a statement like
“Attachments: foobar.rb” if somebody attached something. Now it’s just
not there anymore. Should I visit ruby-forum.com now each time something
was attached via the website?
which is a site with more of a community feel to it
A gist at http://github.com/ is another option. A gist can contain
multiple files.

It’s not me, I know about where I can post/upload files. I was thinking
about those who don’t care about the mailing list backend and just
attach files via ruby-forum.com. When I get such a mail and the author
mentions he attached something I know “it’s on ruby-forum.com, let’s
visit it”, but that takes unnecessary time and in many cases a post’s
author doesn’t mention he attached something. Then I just overlook it
and maybe can’t answer a question I was able to answer if I knew about
the attachment.

Marvin
