Ruby and gui on X11 based displays

Hi all,

how can I reparent a X11 window with ruby?

For C++ there is a Xlib interface which provides the function call
“XReparentWindow”.

IIRC Fox/FXRuby has reparent, but I’ve never used it.

You could use ffi and xlib to use XReparentWindow(), this also requires
to open a connection to the XServer.
