amd64 FreeBSD8 でも #4121 が起きることがあるのですが、
while で $ while make test-all TESTS=“test_pty.rb” ; do : ; done
のように実行していると、他の Failure がたまに起きます。
以下のように、どれも、期待した文字列の代わりに nil が返っています。

  1. Failure:

  2. Failure:
