Ruby 1.9.3: io/console help

I’d be grateful if someone could give some examples on how to use
io/console. I’ve been looking at the source and trying things out but
nothing prints on the screen. I am lost.

I also want to know whether this package implements Window and Panel as
this is essential for replacing ncurses-ruby.

No, is a simple too for enable/disable of echo and obtaining information
about the current TTY/Console, is not aimed to replace curses
