front-end development work in Silicon Valley, CA. We are in a launch
frenzy right now. Our app has just been deployed for final beta test,
and we will be available to the general public through an invite system

Experienced Webapp Developer for Funded Web (RoR) Startup

= Description =
We are looking for a talented and experienced Web Application Developer
with solid technical skills and a passion for building great web
products on cutting-edge technology. You will work in a dynamic
environment on a highly visible product and play a key role in the
design, development, and testing of new features.

Spokeo, Inc (http://www.spokeo.com) is an Internet startup working on a
web portal to aggregate information across all social networks and
personal media sites. Spokeo, Inc was founded in 2006 by 3 Stanford
graduate students and has secured medium term financing. Our
engineering team is lean, coordinated, and highly proficient. We are
looking for another indepentent developer to join our company. Our
offices are conveniently located next to US-101 in the city of Mountain
View, CA.

= Required Qualifications =
Expert knowledge of XHTML, JavaScript, CSS
Web application development experience in Ruby or Java in a
production-quality setting (Ruby on Rails, Java EE, or J2EE).
Solid understanding of database concepts and OO design.
Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple
simultaneous tasks
Excellent teamwork skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong sense of commitment and responsibility

= Preferred Skills =
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
3+ years software development experience in a Linux/Unix environment
Experience with high-performance, high-traffic web systems.
Understanding of distribution tools and syndication standards (RSS,
Atom)
Passion for social networking
