Hi there,
Does the RFX900 have an AGC algorithm that it automatically applies? Or
does the host machine have to implement an algorithm via the
write_aux_dac command?
Thanks,

As shipped, the RFX-series does gain control via software using the
set_gain() command, which uses write_aux_dac at a lower level. You
don’t need to call write_aux_dac directly.
On the 900, 1200, 1800, and 2400 you can set up the boards to do AGC
automatically by analog means, but this requires moving around a couple
of resistors. The RFX400 does not have this capability.
