Hi there,

I have been running the reaper on dreamhost and I’m not sure it is
actually
restarting the processes

will the reaper create new processes? because all the PID’s are the same
before and after I run the reaper

its sending a HUP signal, which most well-mannered processes use to
reload config, refresh child processes, and the like. dont worry about
the nonchanged PID…

i dont use dreamhost, its certainly possible something is fubar besides
that…wrt ghost/zombie processes, stuff that doesnt restart properly
etc. do they let you run mongrel? if not, why do they have ‘dream’ in
their name?
