Reading text files

I can’t read the text file below with Ruby. The two date lines are
treated as though they don’t exist.

Any ideas?

If I put that text in a file, I seem to be able to access it just fine.
Maybe the problem is your code, and not Ruby. If you show us your code,
maybe we can help.
