I have investigated further and ran the qa_hilbter.py script.

The Hilbert transform repeatedly fails this test.

I am running GNURadio 2.8 on Redhat FC4.
Dual Athlon 64
4GB RAM

Any thoughts?

Hmmm, qa_hilbert works fine for me on a dual Opteron, under
SuSE 9.3 Pro, as well as on my x86 machines.

Which version of g++ are you using?

$ g++ --version
