RE: Re: Rails in Dr. Dobbs Journal?

Someone here at the office had brought in a copy and I saw the headlines
and immediately grabbed it to take a look. The article is in the June
2006 DDJ edition.

Ruby on Rails - It makers development fast agile & manageable by Michael
Swaine

It is a high level, very brief, overview with short paragraphs to
address “What is it about Rails that makes it the right tool for the
developing of database-babysitting web apps?”

Productivity
Plurals
One-stop shopping
Polish
Key Ruby features
Pure OOP
Reflection
Duck Typing
Blocks
MVC
Books and Articles
Blogs, web sites and lists

It also includes a conversation with DHH.

I think the interesting point is that “DDJ will be tracking Rails
closely in the coming months because it may represent a historic tipping
point in development environments.”

Hope this helps!
