Ahh, that’s the part I didn’t realize. I thought once it was renamed no
new log entries would be written there. Glad to know this!

AmI missing something or using logrotate as Corey is just fine?
(I use logrotate for everything)

I was wondering about this too. Logrotate seems to be the easiest
solution. However I wasn’t sure if it would work the same way. Is there
a way to add a few seconds delay before Logrotate begins the
compressing?
