Re: How can my boss take rails seriously with bugs like this

I think I might just have to stick up for Chris as it appears he’s
buggered off, hopefully to the Rails mailing list, but certainly away
from this one. I think the mass bashing by people being incredibly
defensive about Ruby has scared him off the list for good…

The poor lad’s only having a rant! You’ve got to admit the subject got
everyone’s attention!

I’m not having a go, or even condoning Mr Richards, I’m just saying calm
down! It’s almost as if he dared to say your child was a geek and not an
uber geek… (see previous non-related mail for reference). Matz didn’t
get involved and it’s his kid!

There, my good deed for the day…

P.S. please don’t bash me now!!!

Yup but he kind of deserved it, I mean if you behave differently you
will
always have to have a thicker skin (believe me :frowning: ), but most of it was
for
his rude stylen, I guess.

No sorry to disagree not really a rant, an insult.

That’s always good advice and I go further than you, he did not merit an
answer.

Because he is a wise and/or busy guy

Did I?, hopefully not!
I just thaught the communities reaction was quite normal, but it is very
good to defend when somebody gets bashed, just I think maybe he kind of
asked for it :frowning:
