Pure Ruby? That would be great. Lets take it one step further lets make
in modular enough to use with gems.

We have an NTLM implementation that we can wrap up as a gem easily
enough
and release on rubyforge. Let’s discuss offline, and if successful we’ll
post back the results to the list, in case others are interested.
