Rails 1.2.2 bug in production mode

Hi Rails pros.

I have been testing our upcoming Ruby LSAPI 2.0 package against Rails
1.2.2, and found a little bug in the generated simple rails application
when started in production mode.

Under both WEBrick and our LiteSpeed web server, request to
http://localhost:3000/rails/info/properties works under “Development”
mode, but got “Routing Error” under “Production” mode.

I am not sure it is caused by a Rails internal bug or just a
misconfiguration in the generated simple application, anyway, it is
better to have it fixed quickly by a experienced Rails developer. :slight_smile:

Hiya George,

This is intentional. The built-in “hello world!” controller is
disabled in Production mode to reduce the attackable surface area of
your application.
