Proxy_store binary encoding?

Hello,

I have a problem with proxy_store, files are stored in a “binary format”
(see below).
The size of it is exactly the same as the original contents, so it’s not
a “compression”.

What can I do to avoid this ? I didn’t find anything about this
“encoding”.

nginx does not do any encoding while proxy_store.
This is raw content from backend. Try to run gunzip to ensure
that is not backend’s gzipping.

Wow, you’re right. PHP is compressing the data… I was comparing to the
size of the contents my browser was indicated, which of course is also
compressed…
