I feel kind of bad sending this, but I just don’t seem to be managing
to unsubscribe. It’s not that I don’t want to read the list, just that
my inbox is getting flooded and I’d rather go to the archive to read the
posts.
I’ve sent repeated mails to [email protected] (from the same
email address I subscribed from) with ‘unsubscribe’ as the body, I’ve
tried [email protected] for help and written many times to [email protected]. What am I doing wrong?
Any help much appreciated! I’m about to go away for two weeks and I
can’t imagine what will happen to my inbox while I’m away if I don’t get
this sorted >:(

Sorry ! Unfortunately although I was being stupid when I typed the
address in my question, the attempts to unsubscribe have been going to ruby-lang.org
For example this one. Ive tried with the unsubscribe both in and out of
quotes…
I, too, am having problems. I sent an unsubscribe email to [email protected]. I received a confirmation that I had, in
fact, been unsubscribed. Yet, I’m still receiving email at my work
address.
I figured there would be a bit of a queue before it stopped, but it’s
been a day now. What gives?
Recently, some MUA send us command mails in base64 format, which our
list server do not understand. Check your configuration, especially
you’re using Gmail.
