Problem building vte, latest git

Getting a compiler error

rbvte-terminal.c:1060: error: ‘VTE_TYPE_TERMINAL_WRITE_FLAGS’ undeclared
(first use in this function)

I’m using CentOS 5.7, with vte-0.14.0

It looks like this wasn’t defined until vte-0.23

Thanks for reporting.
I’ve fixed it.

Thanks. I’m working on a project that is stuck back in RHEL 5.7 (barely)
I’m trying to keep our internal Ruby build good. But it gets tough as
things like RubyGtk+gnomecanvas are now depricated. But goocanvas is NOT
available on RHEL 5.x…

My hopes and dreams… at least simple for right now, is to understand
enough to perhaps un “depricate” gnomecanvas for some time.

I’m making it work now, but I’d rather “pass on what I have learned” as
I
am sure there are others out there that are still stuck with
gnomecanvas.

I’ve fixed it.

I see a lot of activity from you lately!

You are like kou’s little brother now!

Thanks for your changes by the way!

(I’d love to help too but my C is terrible…)
