Estoy desarrolando una aplicación que actualmente está en fase Beta
cerrada.
Quisiera invitar a más usuarios y necesito la funcionalidad de generar
invitaciones, enviarlas por mail, invitaciones por usuarios, etc tal y
como antiguamente lo hacÃa GMail.
¿Conoce alguien un plugin en Rails que tenga estas funcionalidades u
otras similares?

La verdad es que leà de casualidad ese post, pero por lo que dice es
precisamente para eso, hace que un usuario se pueda subscribir a un
modelo.
Asi que si haces un modelo newsletter y le integras el plugin te va a
andar
bien.

Gracias Juan P., voy a revisarlo, bueno también quiero saber si
alguien
esta teniendo problemas con dreahost, actualizaron ruby y ahora mis
aplicaciones dicen que no pueden iniciar adecuadamente, voy a ver los
logs y
estos no muestras ni error ni nada, alguno tal vez sepa una solucion
gracias

Controla que en enviroment.rb tengas la version a la que actualizaron,
a
no ser que tengas rails congelado en tu aplicacion.

Exactamente no es lo que necesito.
Yo necesito un plugin que permitiese generar invitaciones (normalmente
es un mail con un link generado que permite al usuario que lo recibe,
registrarse en la aplicación y después la invitación caduca) y su
gestión por usuario (invitaciones pendientes, aceptadas, rechazadas,
etc…).
El plugin que al que te refieres parece que sirve para suscribirse por
mails a algún modelo (post, comments, newsletters, etc…).
De todas maneras, gracias por la respuesta. Seguiré buscando a ver si lo
encuentro y sino, pues a seguir divirtiéndose programando con Rails
