Plugin/engine for generating menus?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a plugin or engine to use for
generating menus? I found MenuEngine
(http://www.muermann.org/ruby/menu_engine/), which hasn’t been updated
in a while, and doesn’t appear to work with the latest version of the
Engines plugin; if I use an older Engines version, I need to use an
older Rails version, and everything just begins to fall apart at that
point…

Depending on what you need, maybe the layout mollio generator is
suitable
