Paypal vs vpaypal

Has anyone used the vpaypal gem yet
(http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=1372&release_id=4452) and if so, how
does it compare to the paypal plugin from ELC
(HugeDomains.com)?

ELC’s is at 1.4 now while vpaypal is at 0.0.1 and hasn’t had much
activity at rubyforge. I’m hoping for some success stories from people
on one or both of those plugins.

I’m noticing the the paypal plugin by ELC does not fully support express
checkout which is required for the API integration with website payments
pro accounts. The vpaypal gem looks like it does.
