Yeah, well, it’s more of an alternative for Filemaker than it is for
Rails and it’s been around for quite some time now. It has a few
drawbacks:
License cost
It’s in Java, and it’s slow as hell on a Mac
It uses JavaScript for coding
On the other hand, it’s a great tool for RAD where you don’t want to
waste precious time designing a killer interface. As I mentioned,
it’s great for people using Access or Filemaker and want to migrate
to a database independent backend and a very easy and familiar front
end.
