       Signal to noise ratio of a signal can be estimated using
mean-to-standard deviation ratio (M/SD) for digital signals. Initially,
by observing the values of M/SD for a signal with known noise level a
threshold can be obtained. However when I am trying to compare the M/SD
signal with a threshold using if statement, this is not working:
       if maxx>=0.09
      The threshold value has been observed from the plots of M/SD for
signals with and without noise. What can be the possible reason for the
statement not getting executed? Is it that i am trying to compare a
stream with a number??
