Nginx redirect loop under ssl

I’ve been banging my head on it for a few days now with no luck. Nothing
seems to be busted, just keeps redirecting to the root domain when ever
I try and visit any url requiring ssl

Debug log, I would say.

similar to this ? rewrite non www host to www ssl loop
